- Descriptions are absolutely necessary -- they define your character without the unnecessary use of a website (although as a supplement, they are very useful!) and to an extent, define the level of your skill. A player with a poorly-written desc will not generate as much interest as someone who put the effort into it to express a basic layout of their character. Simply put, despite being accepting of varied characters, we will not damage the quality of roleplaying. Effort is required.
- To maintain an enjoyable environment for all players, certain fantasy races and creatures are also barred: Drow, "neko", and greater demons (when is it ever really neccessary for a demigod-level character to teleport into a tavern because they're bored, really?) Essentially, any character or being of excessive, questionable power, or character archetypes that are known for being overused and unoriginal is barred (sorry, but Drow don't leave the Underdark, it's not my fault you don't know everything about what you're playing.). By being able to stalemate other players by giving them the impression that yours isn't worth the effort to combat, you're damaging the setting, even if you're having fun.
